Santorum: you, too, can have a campaign sweater vest (for $100)

In an interview with CNN's Erin Burnett, Republican candidate Rick Santorum explained his signature sweater vest as a "Second Amendment" article of clothing: "the right to bare arms." Santorum also said you can get your very own Santorum-label sweater vest (made in America) for a cost of about $100–which includes a donation to the campaign.

Romney campaign defends "firing people" comment

On CNN's Erin Burnett OutFront, senior Romney advisor Russ Schreifer defended comments made by the candidate today, where Romney said "I like being able to fire people." Those comments were quickly pounced upon by rival Republican campaigns, but tonight Schreifer said what Romney said was true: it's better to be able to fire a company or person who isn't doing the job than to be forced to stick with, say, an insurance company that does a lousy job.
