On Sunday, 48 players paid one million dollars each to play in the tournament.
It might sound crazy that people would lay out a million dollars for a poker tournament, until you realize just how much they're playing for.
The winner of the tournament will take home a whopping $18.3 million. Just how much is that? It will be the largest-ever first place prize in any sporting event outside of boxing. Second and Third place have to settle for a paltry ten and four million dollars, respectively.
Fourth through ninth are guaranteed a million or two. What are they going to do with the money? The players left are all famous pros or CEOs of big companies.
At least one of them Greenlight Capital co-founder David Einhorn has vowed to give all of his winnings to a charity called City Year.
And that brings us to tonight's number: $5,533,328. That is the amount of the tournament's purse that is being donated to charity.

Oh, yeah. I saw Einhorn was tweeting the whole play-by-play @davidein.
