Autopsy: Man shot in head while handcuffed in police car committed suicide

The autopsy report has been released in the case of 21-year-old Chavis Carter, who died of a gunshot wound to the head as he sat handcuffed in the back of a police cruiser in July.

A medical examiner says Carter committed suicide after being arrested for marijuana possession, something police have maintained since the incident. It is unknown how Carter managed to hide the gun from arresting officers before allegedly shooting himself while handcuffed, and his family believe police are hiding something.

OutFront tonight: Benjamin Irwin, attorney for Carter's mother and grandmother.
