Johnny Lewis, who spent two seasons playing Kip "Half Sack" Epps on the popular series "Sons of Anarchy" battled arrests, drugs and mental illness before killing his elderly landlady and falling to his own death.
The 28-year-old actor was found dead Wednesday in Los Angeles after apparently slaying his 81-year-old landlady and then either jumping or falling off the roof of their house. Her cat was also killed.
Lewis' acting career was on the rise, but behind the scenes the actor was battling his own demons.
He was arrested three times this year and released from the Los Angeles County Jail only five days before the murder, reported the L.A. Times.
OutFront tonight: Jonathan Mandel, former defense attorney of Johnny Lewis.
