Sister of late Ambassador Chris Stevens comes OutFront to give thoughts on attack's aftermath and her brother's legacy

Tonight we recognize Chris Stevens, the late ambassador to Libya who was killed in the terrorist attacks in Benghazi along with three other Americans on September 11th.

Ambassador Stevens is being honored with the Common Ground Award tonight for his tireless efforts to bridge the divide between the United States and the Middle East.

More than eight weeks later, many are still wondering who is responsible for the attacks and how the events unfolded.

Ambassador Stevens' younger sister, Anne, will receive the award tonight on behalf of her brother. She's outfront in her first American TV interview.

News you need to hear from a friend. As you may be aware, I’ve been a major, bordering on obsessive, fan of yours for going on 4 years now. I’ve written about you extensively in my blogs (7), written over a hundred letters to you, written pieces for this face book page and your CNN blog. You may have noticed I’ve pulled down all the blogs (on November 1) and only sporadically write to you these days. This letter is about the show you produced yesterday, Nov. 8, 2012. It was the worst show I have ever seen you do, appalling in content, context, method and execution. I don’t know what has happened to you but you need to snap-out of it and I mean right now. Take a few minutes and read the posts on this page following yesterday’s show and maybe you’ll pick-up on a trend: people don’t like what you’ve become. What really broke it for me was the interview with Ambassador Stevens sister, where you continually tried to steer her back to criticizing the administration by trying to exploit her loss. It was disgusting, barracuda journalism and you should be as ashamed of yourself as I am embarrassed for having supported you all these years. That kind of stuff is a deal-breaker for me and is a non-starter going forward.
I’ve also noted that you have joined the Joe Scarbourgh, non-intelligentsia faction of the fiscal-cliff argument that continues to argue what is going to happen when the republicans finally exert their masterful control of our destiny. Maybe you didn’t get the news, THE REPUBLICANS LOST AND ARE NOT IN CONTROL OF THE GOVERNMENT. It used to be that you saw the damage inherent in going over the fiscal cliff and sought to find ways to avoid it. Now all I hear from you is how the Democrats are going to have to find a way to give in to the Republicans. You need to accept the paradigm shift of last Tuesday, Obama holds all the cards, and if the Republicans want to go off that cliff, OBAMA STILL GETS WHAT HE WANTS SO REPBUBLICANS HAVE TO MAKE A DEAL WITH HIM, NOT VICE-VERSA. You used to liken the Republican desire to go off the cliff to lemmings and now, for reasons known only to you, you’ve decided to be a lemming because you can be the head cheerleader of the lemming faction.
I wouldn’t be the Tomcat if I didn’t try to stop you and your rodent army from marching us all off that cliff, that what cats do.
I love ya, Doll, and hope to get back to that feeling soon, but you’ve got to get your head out of your ass.
Better you hear it from a friend because, really, that’s what friends do…
    All the Best, TVA
