Our third story OutFront: Susan Rice's Rwanda problem.
A group of religious leaders have opened a new line of attack on the U.N. Ambassador, believed to be the leading candidate for Secretary of State, by questioning Rice's role in the Clinton Administration during the 1994 the Rwandan genocide.
Over the weekend Pastor Rick Warren tweeted "Susan Rice's appalling words when she put election politics ahead of stopping the genocide in Rwanda" along with a link to an article by Rabbi Shmuley Boteach.
That article in turn cites a 2002 article that claims as a member of President Bill Clinton's National Security Team in 1994, Rice cautioned labeling the Rwanda conflict as genocide by asking "If we use the word 'genocide' and are seen as doing nothing, what will be the effect on the November congressional election?"
Rice has said she doesn't recall the remark, but said it would have been "inappropriate" to say. CNN's Foreign Affairs Reporter Elise Labott is OutFront with more on this development.
