Amid 2016 buzz, does Chris Christie's weight actually matter?

As talk of 2016 continues to build around Chris Christie, one question in particular is generating more buzz than usual.

As part of her upcoming "10 Most Fascinating People" special, Barbara Walters asked the New Jersey governor if he was too heavy to be president.

His response: "That's ridiculous."

CNN Contributor and Newsweek/The Daily Beast Senior Columnist John Avlon is OutFront on whether or not Christie's health is a legitimate concern should he run for president.

Its simple, and I have nothing against the guys but he must set an example and lose the darn weight. Come on now. He needs not to be that big and I surely dont want the rest of the world asking if this is what Americans all look like.

But hey! If Chris Christie didn't give people a sense of security, how could he become the New Jersey Governor?

John Avlon should've told Barbara Walters to Google "William Howard Taft images." I'm glad he pointed that out. There was enough of President Taft that they had some left over for Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, so I would argue that Gov. Christie go to his nearest McDonalds immediately & polish up those US Atty cases fr back in the day.
