'McDreamy' wins bid for Tully's coffee. "It's a beloved brand and it felt right," says Patrick Dempsey

Actor Patrick Dempsey, Dr. McDreamy on Grey's Anatomy says he's now the proud owner of a small Seattle-based coffee chain, Tully's Coffee.
The actor's investment group Global Baristas bid $9.15 million to beat out coffee giant Starbucks.

But, the industry leader with the green mermaid logo says not so fast.

Starbucks tells OutFront, along with another company, it offered $10.6 million, and the final verdict won't be made until a court hearing on January 11.

Tully's filed for bankruptcy protection in October 2012 and closed 19 locations. The coffee company operates 47 company-owned stores in Washington and California, and owns franchises in the United States and Asia.
