CNN's Deb Feyerick was invited to rocker Ted Nugent's ranch in Waco Texas to talk hunting, self-defense, and the second amendment.
Ted Nugent sings praises of gun ownership
His comments demonstrate how detached he is from reality.
Although I am a supporter of people's rights to own guns, recent statements by The NRA, Ted Nugent and other pro-gun extremists make me far more open to some common sense steps to curb violence.
And, for the record, "We need more people around with guns" is not, in my opinion, a common sense solution. That is like saying we need more people setting off fireworks at nightclubs to reduce fires, or we need more rain to control flooding.
Ted Nugent's "there's no gun violence" is just a front for his cowardess and inability to deliver on his "dead or in jail" dilemma should the President get elected. There's a lot of ways conservatives can express their bigotry, racism and hate and this latest comment by Nugent is a prime example.
