A team of investigators are trying to determine what triggered an African lion to turn on Dianna Hanson at a big cat sanctuary in Dunlap, California.
The Cat Haven sanctuary remained closed today, but its founders told reporters that they are cooperating with the police investigation into Hanson's death.
Worker mauled to death at California sanctuary by her favorite lion
Hanson, a 24-year old intern was inside the lion's enclosure by herself Wednesday when the four-year-old, 350-pound male lion mauled her to death. The authorities later shot and killed the animal.

Really? Killed the animal? He was in a cage! Why do people immediately kill wild animals for acting like wild animals. If Dianna really LOVED the animals she worked with like her father said, that is most likely the last thing she wanted. The answer to everything is to kill it! Look at the big picture, not the immediate response. Sad for poor Dianna and Cous Cous. RIP
