Biden's expensive night in a Paris hotel

Joe Biden's one night in Paris cost American tax payers $585,000.50 and that's just the hotel tab alone. Paris is an expensive city. But Biden and his entourage stayed at a pretty expensive hotel.

The Hotel Intercontinental Paris Le Grand, where right now, room rates start at 340 euros and go all the way up to 4,000 euros.

There's nothing a little more affordable?

That's typical. This administration has absolutely NO reguard for saving any of the taxpayers money. They are putting us so far into debt we will never get back out. They don't want to compromise, they don't want to cut spending, they don't want to stop all their pet trillion dollar projects, etc, etc, etc. They want the rich to pay for everything and they want all their poor buddies never to actually have to work for a living. Welfare will continue on forever with this administration.

Biden needs to do a Dick Cheney and go live in an undisclosed bunker until this administration is finally gone. Wasn't it "Sherriff Joe" who was supposed to keep an eye on all of that stimulous money to ensure there was no wasteful and unnecessary spending?

Unbelievable. Liberals are all over other economic articles, defending this cabinet on their attempts to "correct" all the "fiscal nightmares" that the last president caused. This article? Nowhere to be found. I guess we can sweep silly things like this under the rug. Wake-up America. The Politburo of our country is creating more wealth inequality than an be described.

Our financial situation at the present isn't exactly ideal, and one would think that our political leaders would be a little more sensitive to how they are spending taxpayers' money. The VP should have facetime with key European political leaders, that's important, but to book 130+ rooms for a night in both London and Paris at the hotels they did is ridiculous. There are more cost effective options out there that are still nice places to stay. I've traveled quite a bit on business in both Europe and Asia, I've stayed predominantly at 4 star hotels, and I don't remember ever having to pay what would amount to $4000 for a day, including meals and lodging (assuming 130 people for a total cost of $500k). That's just absurd.

I know I didn't just read that Biden spent $585,000 on a Paris trip. That is a slap in the face of every taxpayer in this Country. Sad thing is they put it out here for good reading. Actually it makes one sick.

Indeed. Why doesn't Erin suggest that the World Economic Forum, where the world's business and political elite meet in Davos, Switzerland, meet each year change the venue to Gary, Indiana?
