North Korea threatens new attack on U.S.

North Korea is putting all of its missile and artillery units on "the highest alert" and threatening to strike U.S. targets in Hawaii, Guam and South Korea.

In its latest threat, the rogue communist nation says America "should be mindful that everything will be reduced to ashes and flames the moment the first attack is unleashed."

Tension between the U.S. and North Korea has been escalating for months but the White House says it won't be intimidated.

Leighton: N. Korea needs one shot to be lucky

OutFront tonight: Matthew Chance is on the island of Yeonpyeong which is just four miles from North Korean waters and Colonel Cedric Leighton.  He was stationed on the island of Guam for 15 months and is personally familiar with American assets in the region.
