Schumer calls for support to end 3-D printer guns, saying it's 'reckless'

Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer predicts that terrorist's will have a gun factory in their garage after the world's first 3-D-printed handgun was successfully fired in Texas.

Gun creator, Cody Wilson, fired the weapon - which he calls "the Liberator." A weapon made using an $8,000 3-D printer - and according to Wilson, less than $60 in other materials.

The ammunition is a standard 38 caliber bullet used in some handguns. Wilson has uploaded the blueprint and design for others to follow too.

Erin Burnett spoke with Sen. Schumer and asked him if technology will always be ahead of the law.

"Ban this, ban that." Do these guys ever get up in the morning and not think about how much of our money, property and freedoms they can take from us?

What is reckless, is the way the politicians quickly want to take away our rights. Besides, terrorist don't need a gun to cause death and destruction, just look what happened in Boston. Why is Schumer afraid of an armed citizen? Is he afraid that technology is going to take away his ability to control people?

Gosh, 1994, didn't Charles Schumer lead the charge to ban "Black Rino, Cop Killer" Bullets, untill it was found out that they didn't exist, that it was an elaborate hoax. Doesn't learn does he?

First of all we have now just pointed this out to the whole world and it will be a problem. It might have taken longer to become a problem if we hadn’t just posted for everyone to now go lookup. Why do we keep telling the bad people how to hurt us? Yes we need to put something in place to stop this, not sure what but it is clear this will be a problem now.

I applaud the work being done with 3D printers, because liberty should ALWAYS remain in the hands of the citizens, and NOT be confined or denied by government. If government officials acted more like servants than lords they would NOT be demanding human shields and legislating the denial of the rights of others.
