An Arizona jury said it was unable to reach a unanimous agreement on what penalty Jodi Arias should receive for killing her ex-boyfriend.
The hung jury forced the judge to declare a mistrial in the sentencing phase of the case after nearly 14 hours of deliberations.
Arias was convicted of the 2008 murder of her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander after a trial that lasted almost five months. If the prosecution decides to retry the sentencing phase of the case, a new jury will be asked to decide Arias' fate.
After I heard the Jury Foreman speak then now I think Jodi was wrongfully convicted of 1st degree, and maybe she only did 2nd degree, and maybe even just an excessive self defense.
If he was such a wholesome Man and a rightful Mormon – then he did not marry Jodi as he was only using her.
Lock her up and make her share a restroom with Oscar Pistorius.
I am tired of seeing this trial on television and think they should just give her life w/o parole. Since they do not want to kill her and move on to the next trial.
When Jodi heard that the jury was undecided and hung, then she had her saddest expression surely because she then knew that instead of the trial being over – she would have it going on and on seemingly forever.
Before she may have acted like a monster, but in the end she is just another person.
Not surprised...revenge isn't punishment.
