Convicted murderer says he was wrongly accused: My life is on the line

Convicted murderer or wrongly accused?

For ten years, Ryan Ferguson has been sitting in a maximum security prison for a crime he says he didn't commit.

Now, an appeals court in Missouri may grant him a new trial and set him free after two of the state's key witnesses admitted they were lying when they testified against him.

David Mattingly has the story.

I have followed this case for several years and my heart just breaks at the thought of Ryan's story. When Ryan was arrested, it was a 2 year old cold case with an ambitious prosecutor who wanted to be elected judge. They jumped at the opportunity to close the case when they heard a 19 year old was bragging to his friends about a crazy dream he had that involved him and his old high school friend, Ryan, and the murder of the newspaper man in the paper. The kid didn't even know how the man was killed until the police told him in the interrogation room. They didn't even care that the kid had a serious drug problem with mental illness. He was their answer to a speedy arrest. The prosecutor deliberately manipulated the case, Ryan's fist attorney was not provided all the facts, they convinced a felon to lie on the stand, they convinced the young kid that he participated in the crime and Ryan was their scapegoat. The prosecutor made a deal with the devil and won his case and won his election for judge.

RYAN FERGUSON SHOULD BE SET FREE NOW!!! This is one of the worst injustice cases I have heard of anywhere in the U.S.. Ryan was convicted NOT on DNA or the fingerprints left at the crime scene. But instead he was convicted on testemony that was later found to be a type of forced confession. ALL the policemen that handled the case should be taken off the force for their part in this misjustice. I feel so sorry for all the people involved with this terrible crime. The victims family deserves to have justice for their loved one. They deserve to have the RIGHT PERSON in jail for the crime. RYAN is NOT the right person! Return him to his family so he can put this awful ordeal behind him. He has been through enough! FREE RYAN FERGUSON NOW!!! :)
