Is "coming out" still a big deal?

"Good Morning America" anchor Robin Roberts revealed she was gay, expressing gratitude for her long-time girlfriend, Amber, in a Facebook post.

Don Lemon gives his take on the reveal and explains why it's still important for people to come out.

Why should it matter if some actor or model or even a singer is gay.
Even people of fame are still people. We act as if a singer is only a singer and a centerfold is only here for us to look at. It doesn't matter how much money and fame thay have, people are still just people. So why does it matter if thay are gay or not. If thay want to keep it a secret, so be it. And if thay want to let the world know that thay are gay, well that is ok too!

God doesn't make mistakes. Jesus loved everyone. You were born that way. Congratulations to Robin, and all of you brave warriors. My husband and I are 70 and 71 and accept you for the people you are. Everyone should be able to love, be loved and accepted for the good they do in their lifetime.
