Doctor: Stowaway's body went into a 'frozen state'

Officials say the teenage stowaway who survived a five-hour flight from San Jose to Maui was trying to get to Somalia to see his mother.

The 15-year-old is believed to have made that trip inside the wheel well of a jumbo jet with low oxygen and subzero temperatures.

Hawaii's department of Human services tells CNN he is now "resting comfortably."

But how he survived is raising many questions.

Dr. Armand Dorian treated a high-altitude stowaway survivor in 2000. In interview with CNN's Erin Burnett, Dorian explains how the teen was able to survive the flight.
