Bride drags baby down the aisle on her wedding gown

A new wedding trend, perhaps? One Tennessee bride had a baby on board for her wedding ceremony - meaning the child literally rode down the aisle on the train of her wedding dress.

Now, the move to make her wedding unique is igniting an Internet firestorm. CNN's Jeanne Moos has the story of a wedding gown train that critics say jumped the tracks.

Oh, you people. What she did wasn't that bad... oh, the moral outrage. You people are no better. People are so quick to judge and damn others without looking at their wretched selves. Was her baby hurt? No. The baby was given a place of honor in a unique way. She was thinking outside the box. Was it different? Yes. So what?

Ah, Southerners: they're different from you and me. How is dragging a child behind you in any way "involving" it in the wedding, cute, special or any other of the fey comments idiots are using to defend this act? If other future brides are as stupid as this woman – and they are, if it is true that they want to copy it – how long do you think it will take for one of them to file a law suit against the dressmaker if a baby gets injured, strangled or suffocates?

As a woman and as a mother I have to say that what this 'bride' did with her baby is appalling. To me this image represents the height of self centeredness. I just can't imagine trading off holding my infant child for a bouquet of flowers and relegating my baby to the floor. I truly hope that the people in her circle condemn this action and keep a close eye on this infant. Who knows what else this so called mother is capable off if she thinks that this behaviour is acceptable.

She cites Jesus! Isn't there something in Christianity about not having a baby out of wedlock? What about that part?

Louise, Mary and Joseph were not married so I guess she had a baby out of wedlock, which makes her an unwed mother. So, is that Christian?

I have no issue with unwed motherhood, but the Christian churches do, and the bride cited Jesus. The issue of pulling the baby down the aisle was overblown. The baby wasn't injured. It was certainly unconventional but no more unconventional than having a baby out of wedlock.
