Riot police fire tear gas at World Cup protesters, CNN crew injured

Protesters took to the streets of Sao Paulo Thursday, angry at the Brazilian government for spending $11 billion on the World Cup instead of using that money for hospitals and schools.

As one group tried to make its way to the Arena Corinthians stadium to protest, police fired tear gas.

CNN's Shasta Darlington and her producer were slightly injured in the clash. Darlington tells Erin Burnett what happened.
