Report: North Korea launches three "cutting-edge" missiles

North Korea's state news agency reports the country has successfully launched three "cutting-edge tactical guided missiles."

The report is dated June 27 but it does not say when the firing took place. CNN cannot independently confirm the report.

In an interview with CNN's Erin Burnett, Gordon Chang, author of "Nuclear Showdown: North Korea Takes on the World," explains what this latest news means.
