Emergency evacuation slide inflates mid-air: "I heard this pop," passenger says

It was a terrifying moment for passengers aboard a United Airlines flight: an evacuation slide accidentally deploys mid-air, inflating inside the jet.

The plane was heading from Chicago to Southern California Sunday night and was forced to make an emergency landing in Kansas.

According to FlightAware, it descended 20,000 feet in just 10 minutes to get to the ground as quickly as possible. No one was injured and the flight landed safely.
