New documents shed light on 2004 Bill Cosby sexual assault allegation

CNN has obtained legal documents showing what may have been an attempt by Cosby to squash allegations of rape in 2005 by using the media to discredit the women behind them.

The 77-year-old comedian has escaped intense scrutiny for nearly a decade, but is now facing allegations from at least 17 women.

...so twice now at the store I was reaching for the Jello as I passed by the milk and creamer and yogurt that is on the same shelf by total habit.. as soon as I grabbed the Jello I could only think of Bill Cosby doing some jello funny bit and then my brain jumped to horrible thoughts of him sneaking drugs into some girls drink... I actually could not buy it.. Not that it was any hint of some boycott against Jello/product .. just the ewww gross factor. Have to wonder what this is doing to the sales of Jello now.. and in the future. Of course who cares about jello as a victim in this scandal when there are likely hundreds of real victims. Lets hope bill will show up for some future court case and we can get him to actually talk about it... so far, cover up and lawyer up. I am still in shock really that this can all be true.

Has anyone noticed that all of the women he raped are white? He married a black woman, but he drup-rapes only white women. That speaks to me of an intense hatred for white women – a desire to humiliate and control them.

Actually that tells me that only white women can have an affair on one day and then scream rape the next day when they do not get what they want.

The appropriate word choice here would be QUASH allegations, not SQUASH allegations.

Either term would be correct: squash is to suppress, put a stop to something or deep six it. Quash is to cancel, invalidate, nullify. So depending on if it was Cosby, he would want it squashed, if it was the judge, he could quash the allegations.

I think it would help if they could identify what drugs Cosby is using for these crimes.... Where does he get it ... and who would buy it for him or sell it to him for all these years? Does his wife know info about it....? What bogus reason could he make up to get these strong drugs for legally?

One of his accusers has said she asked Cosby what drug he had given her, and he told her it was a Quaalude. Most of the stories involve alcohol and a drug that had a sedative effect. Quaaludes would not be hard for a celebrity like Cosby to come by, or for that matter, pretty much any prescription drug. Exactly what drugs he used is probably impossible to determine, and as criminal charges are unlikely. Criminal charges are unlikely, so it's kind of a moot point. Either you believe the women's stories that they were sedated or unconscious and then assaulted by him, or you don't. Quaalude vs. barbiturate is kind of irrelevant.

The so called journalists and new media are not asking the hard questions.....just giving women a chance to air their story. If we wanted to find out, we would investigate what type of drugs were available to Cosby and who was giving it to him. If Cosby raped so many women by giving them pills, since we know he is not a pharmacist, someone was supplying it to him. It is virtually impossible for someone to "drug" so many women and not have one complication.

Are there any theories about the drugs Cosby is using in all these Rapes? There must be some trail back to him for this very specific drug he is using all these years. Where would he get it from, or who would buy this for him, or what medical reason could he make up to get them legally? Have to wonder if his wife has info about this, or any of the victims can help identify the drugs (*pills?) used in all of his crimes?

No one is asking these questions which tells me there is a hidden agenda. I would like to know what drug is available in a pill form that can be slipped into a drink and cause a woman to black out.....but is so safe that Cosby could have used it on hundreds of women without killing anyone or have them go to the hospital.

You've never heard of a "roofie"?

Yes I have heard of roofie.....but like I said, virtually impossible for a lay person to give it to so many women, rape them, and each calmly wake up and able to drive themselves home. At least one person should have needed to go to the ER even just for feeling weird.

Unreal how he got away with it for so many years. Even talking about the Spanish Fly in his comedy routine.
I wonder what the real number is. He should be in a cell right now spending the rest of his life getting drugged on prison juice and reamed by big Bubba.

Shocking for sure... but once you understand how people with great power, fame, money, lawyers.. .etc. Then you stand back and see how long the Catholic church has (and continues) to get away with rapes and abuse world wide with young boys... the huge Sandusky scandal where Papa Joe and other men considered of great character would let things happen under their nose directly or indirectly.... to protect the town, or protect the school image.. or some other unknown fear to react or do something excuse... you realize this happens ALL THE TIME. Of course if you only see the 1 single isolated innocent you and explain it away.. he was drunk .. the woman lied or was a "gold digger" so she made up a story, .. it can't be true... she must be lying.. but when you stand back and see 20 cases, or 50 cases of the same thing, suddenly the pattern can not longer be swept under the rug or his great father figure is just the cover story. ... like it would be for a football coach with a child's charity setup for the main purpose to groom future victims.. suddenly it comes into focus as one of the most well disguised monsters of all time. And in a weird way or ironic twist to these type of bigger than life scandals is that we are part of it.. .or that we don't want to believe, or we don't want it to be true (I sure loved the Cosby show and loved the daily teachings that were so wonderful and loved the silly jello pudding pop commercials and the funny bits he would do.. I even went to see him in person at a comedy show about 5 years back and he was impressive... all that being said.. Once you know the pattern and tricks... Once you realize 24 women can't all be part of some crazy conspiracy (good luck getting 4 people to pull this off much less 20+). Once you wake up and realize the wold is not just rainbows and unicorns.. then when you do find a monster of this magnitude you have to hunt them down and you have to get them into a court of law to expose the truth (yes he deserves his day in court to finally answer.. and no, you can't just lawyer your way out this time, or buy out a settlement where the details are locked and don't come out.. not this time bill... sorry). I am really upset with Bill Cosby.. and I can promise I am at least wide awake now on him... and I think honestly anyone that bothers to do 10 min. of real research on all of these cases can no longer just explain it away or just wish it was not true.

I love how the advert we're forced to watch before the news story plays perfectly, but the story remains in constant buffer mode. Thanks for the commercials!
