On OutFront Tuesday, Erin Burnett talked about the unfolding MF Global scandal with Vanity Fair's William Cohan and FORTUNE's Leigh Gallagher. For Cohan, the connection between former New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine and MF Global represents a "spectacular fall from grace."
The man who brought a passenger jet down safely in New York's Hudson River joined Erin to talk about another amazing landing–in Poland–for an aircraft without landing gear. The jet, flying from Newark to Warsaw, had more than 200 people onboard–and nobody was hurt. "That may have been the first time all three gear have failed on a 767 in its 30 years of service," said Capt. Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger on OutFront Tuesday.
Sullenberger noted that the touchdown in Warsaw was critical, since an aircraft without landing gear can only steer its path along the runway using the plane's flaps.
CNN's Erin Burnett talks to New York Times correspondent and author Eric Schmidt about American links to overseas terror: not just U.S. citizens who offer terrorist groups financing, but even home-grown terrorists who carry out acts of terrorism overseas.
