Rudy Giuliani on the threat of a nuclear Iran: "it's real"

Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani said of the threat of a nuclear Iran "it's real" in an interview with CNN's Erin Burnett. Giuliani, who said President Obama has lost all influence to contain Iran as it works toward a nuclear program, accused Obama of "giving away all leverage."

Giuliani said a threat of military strikes on nuclear facilities–combined with aggressive sanctions–would have a far better chance of keeping the weapons away from Iran.

Cindy McCain: GOP not on 'wrong side' of history with position on gay rights

The wife of former Republican presidential nominee John McCain says the GOP's diverse and inclusive and by no means "on the wrong side of history" on the issue of gay rights. In an interview with Erin Burnett, Cindy McCain–who has somewhat different views on gay rights than her husband–said "I think there are diverse opinions...but Republicans are not on the wrong side of this issue."

McCain, who has appeared in pubic service ads for the NO H8 campaign against discrimination based on sexual orientation, said "we openly disagree and we fairly disagree."

Speaking of her home state of Arizona, where she and her husband have endorsed Mitt Romney, McCain said "we're open minded Republicans and believe in equality for all."
