In storm's wake, a few thoughts about those small town mayors

Some of the cities and towns hardest hit by Wednesday's deadly storms are served by part-time mayors–businesspeople who have careers beyond public service, and only volunteer for the job out of a duty to their community. They step up when storms tear families' homes and businesses apart–and Erin Burnett took time out to say thanks.

Erin – We are so in LOVE and i feel like you captured that recfeptly. Vanessa and Blanca did an absolutely fabulous job of being totally cool and keeping us calm during the whole event. Who knew we were so comfortable infront of a camera? I owe that all to you guys. Thanks for being a part of our wedding.July 1, 2009 2:44 am

Where is the forgiveness and sympathy for the shooter???? The main feature of Christianity is supposed to be FORGIVENESS. NONE OF YOU know why this child did what he did and YOU are NOT to judge. Too bad some of you did not have to live HIS life!

I live in ohio and i agree with you John that she should have not asked about the punishment for the shooter. We as a state are still dealing with the aftermath and are still in shocked over this that it happened near cleveland. How upsetting it is for all of us to bear but, we will succeed and get through this as a state.
