Netanyahu: Mitt Romney hasn't aged in 35 years

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu insists he has no interest in taking sides in the U.S. presidential election. But in an exclusive interview with CNN's Erin Burnett, he did reflect on likely Republican nominee Mitt Romney, who, like Netanyahu, worked at the Boston Consulting Group in the 1970s. "I was a young recruit and he was already a star manager."

What are his memories of the young Mitt Romney? "He looked the same. Isn't that disturbing? I don't look the same. He looked the same."

Beyond that, Netanyahu went to great lengths to avoid making any gesture that could be considered an endorsement in the 2012 race. "I respect Mitt Romney as I respect Barack Obama, the president of the United States. And that's the end of the ranking...I have enough politics here than to get into American politics."

Erin Burnett, you asked Netanyahu some hard questions, so I give you credit for that. But in that program, with the Israeli PM at the center, and several other guests making brief comments or reports, you did not find room for one Arab, or one Palestinian, or one correspondent whose association is more with the Middle East communities than with US media services or US political commentary? That is disappointing. Why, don't you know any folks who do not identify with Israel? Or did you fear criticism if you let somebody speak more harshly than what you featured?

ERIN I THOUGHT YOU WERE BETTER THAN THAT, TO PLAY INTO THE HANDS OF NETENYAHU LIKE A BARBY DOLL IS SHAMEFULL. BUT AGAIN CANT BLAME YOU FOR NOT WANTING TO FIND YOURSELF IN THE SAME POSITION OF OCTAVIA NASSER OR RICK SANCHEZ OR THEY MIGHT EVEN LABEL U ANTI-SEMITE. JUST SAYING THE PRESS SHOULD BE ABLE TO ASK THE QUESTIONS THEY WANT WITHOUT THE THREAT TO BE FIRED. TO LET BIBI PUT HIS FINGURE ON HIS SO CALLED ISRAEL WITHOUT ASKING HIM CAN YOU REALLY JUSTIFY OCCUPATION BY THE SIZE OF THE COUNTRY IS SHAMEFULL AND TO BRING A CLIP FROM PAST OF BIBI MAKING THE SAME CLAIM IS JUST REPULSIVE
