Burnett deconstructs Jamie Dimon's testimony: Does it add up?

CNN's Erin Burnett has interviewed JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon in the past and weighed in on his testimony on Capitol Hill. Burnett highlighted Dimon's prepared statement on the bank's loss, saying it was a 'isolated incident.'

Burnett noted that every CEO who finds themselves in the same situation as JPMorgan says it was an isolated incident.

Sen. Harry Reid: GOP's 'goal is to drag down the economy'

Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) says Republicans are sacrificing the American economy in order to help Mitt Romney seize the White House.

"Their goal is to drag down the economy because it is good for their politics." Reid continued, "They believe the more horrible the economy is the better off they are going to be in November."

Are Republicans intentionally tanking the economy to help Mitt Romney?

John Avlon: "Romney is a political alien in his own home states"

Mitt Romney spoke to a group of corporate executives ahead of President Barack Obama's economic speech tomorrow, saying he'll make America "the most attractive place in the world" for innovators, investors and job creators.

In his latest column for The Daily Beast, John Avlon notes for the first time in presidential election history, a candidate will not count on his home state for votes.

John Avlon is a CNN contributor, OutFront political strike team member, and senior columnist for Newsweek and The Daily Beast.
