Nakoula Basseley Nakoula identified as the Anti-Islamic filmmaker

New details are emerging about the filmmaker who made the anti-Islamic movie that has sparked violent protests throughout the Middle East and Northern Africa.

Federal authorities have identified him as Nakoula Basseley Nakoula. Early in the search for the producer behind the controversial film, CNN reported Nakoula was using the name Sam Bacile and portraying himself as an Israeli-American.

The Israel Foreign ministry says they have no record of a Sam Bacile and we now know he has a criminal past, and is believed to be a Coptic Christian and an Egyptian.
