U.S. intel. reverses Libya assessment: Consulate assault was an "organized terrorist attack"

The Daily Beast reports United States intelligence monitored conversations between Ansar Sharia jihadists and a North African al Qaeda affiliate, Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb or AQIM.

The article written by Eli Lake says that Sharia bragged to the al Qaeda affiliate about the attack that killed U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens.  This latest report and the fact that the Obama administration knew within 24 hours the attacks were linked to al Qaeda reveals the assault was not a spontaneous reaction to the anti-Islamic video that incited anti-American protests in the Muslim world.
