President Barack Obama toured the Garden State's battered coastline Wednesday with New Jersey's Republican governor. Gov. Chris Christie, a key Romney supporter continued to heaped praise on his candidate's opponent.

New York City hospital evacuates 700 patients

New York City's Bellevue hospital became the second hospital to be forced to evacuate due to loss of power brought on by "Superstorm" Sandy.

- Bellevue Hospital will evacuate its remaining 700 patients, a process that could take two days, a source familiar with the evacuation plan told CNN. Many critically ill patients had already been evacuated.

N.Y. hospital staff carry sick babies down 9 flights of stairs during evacuation

NYU Langone Medical Center was the first - the hospital evacuated about 260 patients, carrying some of them down 15 flights of stairs to ambulances ready to take them to the safety of other hospitals.
