Israel on the brink of war?

Israel is on the brink of war? Israel is continuing its blistering assault on Gaza - taking out nearly 200 targets. Israel says the barrage of rockets in retaliation to the 750 rockets fired from Gaza into the Jewish state this year alone.

The shelling is now threatening Israel's peace with its neighbors - including Egypt where the violence is testing Egypt's new Islamist-led government.

Rockets pound Israel, Gaza as Netanyahu alleges 'double war crime'

Rockets and shells crisscrossed the skies over southern Israel and Gaza on Thursday as Palestinian militants continued rocket attacks on Israeli civilians and Israel pounded what it called terror sites.

Israel reported three people were killed, and Palestinians reported 15 deaths. Hamas gave conflicting information as to how many of them were Hamas militants.

At least 274 rockets from Gaza have been fired into Israel since "Operation Pillar of Defense" began Wednesday, the Israeli military said. Israel's Iron Dome defense system has intercepted 105, the Israel Defense Forces said.
