Rod Deraney, longtime Newtown resident, father of four, ages 2 to 12. His life in Newtown, intertwined with so many of the victims. Deraney's 12-year-old daughter knew and loved Vicki Soto, a one-time substitute teacher for Deraney's daughter's class.
His 10-year-old son was friends with Jack Pinto's older brother. Deraney and his son attended Jack's funeral on Monday.
