2011 saw a lot of political gaffes, one of the most memorable political mishaps was Texas Governor Rick Perry's "Oops" moment. During the 2011 Republican presidential debate, Perry failed to name the three federal agencies he would eliminate if were to become president.
"I would do away with the Education, the, uh, Commerce, and, let's see. I can't. The third one I can't. Sorry. Oops," Perry said.
His final word on the subject was the "Oops" that was heard from around the world.
Perry would later blame the embarrassing gaffe on the lack of sleep according to "Oops!," a diary from the 2012 campaign trail, by Texas Tribune reporter Jay Root.
