Today's school shooting in Texas is the fourth school shooting since the massacre in Newtown last month, and it comes amid a bitter debate over gun control in this country.
During his inaugural address on Monday, President Obama appeared to tie this debate to our nation's founding principles.
"We have always understood that when times change, so must we. That fidelity to our founding principles requires new responses to new challenges, that preserving our individual freedoms requires collective action, " Obama said.
