NRA flip-flops on universal background checks

At a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on gun violence today, Wayne LaPierre, the head of the National Rifle Association shared his thoughts on universal background checks.

LaPierre says it doesn't do any good to expand background checks to private sales between lobbyists and collectors.

But, he wasn't always against universal background checks.

CNN's Jim Acosta has the story and Nancy Robinson, the Executive Director of Citizens for Safety and Matt Lewis columnist for the Daily Caller joined Erin Burnett to discuss the viability of background checks.
