Arias driven to tears in murder trial

After 13 days on the stand, accused murderer Jodi Arias, lost control of her emotions after being shown a photo of her dead ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander.

The judge immediately called for a recess so Arias could compose herself. When the trial resumed prosecutors forced Arias to recount how she killed Alexander in June 2008, leaving her in tears most of the day, but did they go too far?

OutFront tonight: Criminal Defense attorney Anne Bremner and former prosecutor, and New England law professor, Wendy Murphy.

"Did they go too far?' I believe she's the one who went too far. And I have no doubt once convicted she'll be coddled just like all the others like her. How about a little more sympathy for the victim and a little less for the sociopath!

It's a testimony to our willingness to give people trials with lawyers and due process, seeing someone who has this much rock solid evidence against them being given this much time to explain herself. I certainly hope no jury member gives her any grace at all no matter how hard the prosecution guy is on her. She has told a mountain of lies, and she wormed her way into the young man's life again, and then went psycho on him and slaughtered him without any mercy, with enough wounds to kill him several times over. If she was concerned for her safety in any way she could have shot him in the foot and run away for help. This is just a terrible case. That young man should still be alive and well. Him meeting her was the tragedy of his life. I think this is a terrible disgrace, and I think if this girl is ever released she is capable of doing exactly the same kind of thing again to someone.

What's with this crying is that going to bring him back. It would be a travesty if crocadille tears win over a jury vs the life of a decent man whom was wooed into his own death . Planned just because he moved on.
