U.S. officials say Monday they're not entirely sure whether a key leader of al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb is dead or alive, two days after the Chad military reported that they had killed Mokhtar Belmokhtar in Mali.

Belmokhtar had claimed responsibility for the January attack on Algerian gas facility that left at least 37 foreign hostages dead.

This weekend, the New York-area media was all abuzz about 28-year-old Lauren Silberman being the first female to tryout as a kicker for the NFL.

The woman behind the blog post "I am Adam Lanza's mother" - referring to the gunman in the Newtown massacre will be on Capitol Hill tomorrow.
As you may recall, Erin Burnett spoke to blogger Liza Long in December, shortly after the shooting, because her blog about her 13-year-old son Michael had set off a national debate on mental health.
Long wrote, "I live with a son who is mentally ill," she wrote. "I love my son. But he terrifies me."
Her blog went viral, with people loathing her and cheering her.
