Colbert Nation gets serious on politics: "It's my sister and I'm willing to help her"

Stephen Colbert often talks politics as his alter ego with the same name on his late night TV show. But he doesn't often talk politics as the real Stephen Colbert.

He did though, when he sat down with my colleague Jake Tapper to talk about Colbert's sister's run for office.

As someone who's li'l sis is a Ph.D. in Immunology & Molecular Pathogenesis at one of the nation's most prestigious universities, and who's been sent to Rwanda for field research on the HIV virus, I can only sympathize w. Mr. Colbert when he told Jimmy Fallon: "She has skills and something to offer society. I am professionally ridiculous."
