Navy unveils "revolutionary" laser weaponry

The Navy announced Monday it will begin deploying laser weapons on board warships. The new technology could usher in a new era of defense technology - more powerful, more precise, and less expensive.

    this took me back to a movie named The Core, a Dr Brazelton invented a powerful laser that could cut a hole through a mountain or tunnel rather. neat stuff.
