Reese Witherspoon apologizes for drunken rant but does it add up?
Actress Reese Witherspoon pleads no contest and apologizes for her drunken rant.

Did she set the bar for celebrity apologies. Erin Burnett has the story.
Why the caption "does it add up?" It was an apology, seemingly sincere. Why not take it at face value?
"Indeed, one of the crassest elements of modern culture, all these sort of talk shows, and even a lot of political journalism that’s sort of focused on this shallow judgmentalism. They try to define everybody down by the worst moment in their lives, and it all is about well, no matter whatever’s wrong with me, I’m not that." (WJC)
Met her briefly a few years ago on the 3rd St Promenade in Santa Monica, she seemed like a really sweet person. Not pretentious or "celebrity-like" at all.
