A teen faces felony charges for an underage same-sex relationship - is it Intolerance or abuse?
That is the debate that is growing after the 18-year old Kaitlyn Hunt decided to reject a plea deal for having a relationship with a 14-year old female classmate.
The Florida sheriff says the fact that this case involves a same-sex relationship - has nothing to do with the felony charges.
but not everyone agrees.
And to think these two if they were married in the 1950's would have been arrested for marrying each other. How would they feel if they were arrested and put in jail and served prison time for their interracial marriage. It was a bad law in the 1950's and was changed, hmmm just like what Kate is going through now. Check out the case on this. http://life.time.com/history/richard-and-mildred-loving-grey-villet-photos-1966/#1 ......
The girls parents could have sat down with Kate's parents and worked this out, instead they waited until Kate turned 18 then went to the police. They perhaps could have gotten a restraining order on Kate to keep her away from their daughter. This law is ridiculous and needs to change. Why are they so willing to ruin a young teens life forever? Suppose in a three years time their daughter dated another girl who is younger than her, and her girlfriends parents decided to do the same thing? I wonder just how they would feel then.

she deserves to go to jail. What she did was illegal, it doesn't matter if shes gay, it doesn't.
