Police: Kentucky officer ambushed, then murdered

Kentucky police are vowing to find justice after a fellow officer was gunned down early Saturday morning in what appears to be an ambush killing.

Police chief vows revenge after officer gunned down for no obvious reason

"It's an eye for an eye. You kill one of my guys, Im not going to rest until I have you in cuffs or on the front side of a weapon. And I mean that," Police Chief Rick McCubbin said.

Investigators say Bardstown police officer, Jason Ellis was lured into a trap when he got out of his cruiser to remove debris from the road and was shot multiple times.

The Kentucky State police have taken charge of the investigation and Master trooper Norman Chaffins is Outfront with the latest.
