Sgt. Smith's family: He loved the Marine Corps more than anything
On this Memorial Day, we are remembering the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice serving their country.
Today, President Obama spent the day honoring our fallen troops and meeting with some of the military families who've lost loved ones.
One of the families the president met with was that of Sergeant David James Smith.
Smith was deployed to Afghanistan in October of 2009.
And just three months later in January of 2010 – Smith was killed in the line of duty.
