Friends and relatives of ex-mob boss James "Whitey" Bulger's alleged victims spoke out for the first time Thursday. The witnesses included one woman who says she survived a harrowing machine gun assault in 1973.
The attack took the life of the driver of the Mercedes she was riding in, and multiple gunshot wounds left her boyfriend hospitalized until his death in 2001.
The infamous Boston mobster is on trial for 19 murders, which were described in chilling detail this week by John Martorano, a confessed mob hitman and former Bulger associate.
OutFront tonight: Boston Globe Reporter Milton Valencia. He was in the courtroom during today's testimony.
