Gandolfini's death underscores heart risks

As we wait for the autopsy results on the 51-year old actor, it's believed James Gandolfini died of a heart attack while vacationing in Rome.

It's still not known whether Gandolfini had a history of heart problems.

Heart attack killed 'Sopranos' star James Gandolfini, friend says

What we do know is:

  • 42% of women who have had a heart attack never had chest pain
  • 31% of men didn't experience chest pain

That's leaving many to wonder whether they too could possibly be at risk for having a heart attack.

The segment on Erin Burnett OutFront last evening (6/20/13), about the death of James Gandolfini, was interesting & informative. The Cardiologist that was featured gave good information, but there is cutting edge new information that could be included. My wife works for Health Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc (www.hdlabinc.com). The company uses advanced blood testing to determine an individual's heart disease risks much more completely than normal blood testing. The scientists there are continuing to work on more advances to assist in reducing the risks & incidence of heart disease & Diabetes. I believe researching a bit about this company, their available blood tests, & the science behind them would be very informative for the viewers of CNN.
