Paula Deen Fired by Food Network

Paula Dean gets canned.

After the celebrity chef confessed to using the N-word years ago - the Food Network released a statement saying it, "will not renew Paula Deen's contract when it expires at the end of this month."

That blow coming just minutes after the celebrity chef released not one but three videos to say she was sorry.

Patriot's Aaron Hernandez remains silent as police investigate man's death

Questions are swirling today about New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez after reports police searched his home in connection with a homicide.

Who Is Aaron Hernandez?

27-year-old  Odin Lloyd was found shot dead Monday less than a mile from Hernandez's home. Lloyd's sister tells CNN her brother was friends with Hernandez.

Two passenger jets come too close for comfort over New York

A pair of large passenger jets passed alarmingly close to each other in the skies over New York city on June 13th.
And now the FAA is investigating.

One jet had just taken off from JFK airport, and the other was landing, when the two quote "lost the required separation," in FAA speak.

Machine gun attack survivor speaks out at Bulger trial

The jury in the "Whitey" Bulger trial heard from the survivor of yet another machine gun attack, in March 1973.

78-year-old Frank Capizzi described in gruesome detail how the car he was ridding in was suddenly ambushed. The target of the assault, rival mobster Albert Plummer, who was literally decapitated by the hail of bullets, while Capizzi and a third passenger were wounded, but ultimately survived.

"Inside Man" Morgan Spurlock goes inside the Pot business

President Obama is going to toe-to-toe with the country's largest medical marijuana dispensary.

If the administration gets its way the pot shop in Oakland may be shut down for good.

Filmmaker Morgan Spurlock went to work at the facility for his new program "Inside Man" which debuts this Sunday right here on CNN.
