Machine gun attack survivor speaks out at Bulger trial

The jury in the "Whitey" Bulger trial heard from the survivor of yet another machine gun attack, in March 1973.

78-year-old Frank Capizzi described in gruesome detail how the car he was ridding in was suddenly ambushed. The target of the assault, rival mobster Albert Plummer, who was literally decapitated by the hail of bullets, while Capizzi and a third passenger were wounded, but ultimately survived.

OutFront tonight: Boston Globe Columnist Howie Carr, who has written three books on Bulger and his empire. He was in the courtoom today.
