Sexting scandal puts Weiner's wife in the spotlight

CNN has now learned the identity of the woman Anthony Weiner, also known as Carlos Danger online, sent lewd images to after he resigned from Congress - for sending lewd images to women.

Weiner's more recent online paramour has been identified by an acquaintance as 23-year-old Sydney Elaine Leathers of Evansville, Indiana.

Weiner insists he's staying in the race for New York City's mayor, despite calls for him to drop out from two of the city's major newspapers - the New York Times and the New York Daily News.

However, the person that everyone is most obsessed with, isn't Anthony Weiner. It's his, wife Huma Abedin, who made it clear Tuesday, she's not going anywhere.

"Anthony's made some horrible mistakes both before he resigned from Congress and after - but I do strongly believe that it's between us and our marriage," Abedin said.

Why did she make that decision?

Alina Cho spoke with some of the people who know her best.
