Anthony Weiner remains defiant amid sexting scandal

At a press conference this afternoon, candidate for New York City Mayor and former Representative Anthony Weiner answered questions about his sexting scandal.

Reporter: How many conversations did you have with women after you resigned that were sexual in nature?

Weiner: I don't believe I had any more than three.

Any more than three.

That may sound like strange response but maybe the strangest part is that he's still in the race at all.

Cleveland kidnapping suspect Ariel Castro considers plea deal

EDITORIAL NOTE: Ariel Castro accepts deal to plead guilty in Cleveland kidnappings, will get life plus 1,000 years in prison.

A source tells CNN, the lawyers for Cleveland kidnapping suspect are trying to hammer out a plea deal that could spare Ariel Castro the death penalty.

Castro is facing an aggravated murder charge, along with hundreds of other charges for allegedly kidnapping, raping and torturing Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight for nearly a decade.

Now Castro could formally accept a deal during a hearing tomorrow morning.

Should he be offered one that could potentially spare his life in the first place?
