Ariel Castro: "My sexual problem has really taken a toll"

Ariel Castro is headed to prison for life plus one thousand years in a deal that took the death penalty off the table.

He pleaded guilty to 937 counts, Involving rape, kidnapping and murder.

After the agreement was reached a lawyer for the victims issued a statement saying:

"Amanda, Gina, and Michelle are relieved by today's plea.  They are satisfied by this resolution to the case, and are looking forward to having these legal proceedings draw to a final close in the near future."

At another moment in the hearing, which lasted well over an hour, the judge asked Castro how good his English is.

Castro replied that he is good at spelling and reading but his comprehension is bad because "my addiction to pornography and my sexual problem has really taken a toll on my mind."

Can being a victim of sexual violence as a child and being addicted to porn explain what Castro did to those women for 10 years?
